2023. Contact us for a bespoke adventure
Hotel, Full Board
We use the Shap Wells Hotel which is situated on the edge of The lakes and The Tufton Arms in Appelby in Westmoorland.
Culture
We always bring into our adventures some of the local culture which in the lakes ranges from Neolithic to famous writers
Second to none Impala Support
You will have the acclaimed Impala Support Teams on hand at any difficult spots along the way.
Technical Rock Crawling
The geology of the Lake District with its volcanic and hard sedimentary rocks has given us some of the most challenging tracks that you can find in the UK. Because of this geological history it is possible to drive them even in wet wintery weather
In Grizedale Forest, High Nibthwaite, Style End, Borrowdale and near Tow Harns are some exceptional ones that will test your skills to the full and we always have a support car on hand if you would like or need a helping hand. This will ensure that you enjoy the adventure without damaging your 4×4.
Fantastic Mountain and Moorland Tracks
These routes in the Lake District are long, challenging and have some incredible views out across the lakes themselves. We always put a route together that avoids the hustle and bustle of the crowds that you will see when you pass by the tourist spots.
Because the lakes are a very popular tourist destination that is very close to big populations you will meet walkers on any of the tracks and we have a code of conduct in your roadbook that will help you pass by without any problems.
Lanes and Byways
All of the lanes and byways that we use are carefully researched and driven before the adventure by our support teams. We use the GLASS website TW2 which has all of the rights of way in the UK documented with their legal status as well as any relevant notes on condition and other considerations.
