2023. Contact us for a bespoke adventure
Hotel, Full Board
We use excellent quality hotels in Wales. Y Talbot in Tregaron and in llandrindod Wells we use The Llanerch Inn.
Culture
The Welsh are very proud of their culture and this is very much in evidence along the way. We also produce a Wildlife Identification Booklet.
Second to none Impala Support
You will have the acclaimed Impala Support Teams on hand at any difficult spots along the way.
River Crossings
Wales has many river crossings and we use some of the most famous on this adventure. Some of the crossings are quite long, especially when you travel along Strata Florida, but luckily the crossings are rock and gravel so you will not get stuck. If it is raining or has rained before the adventure the crossings can become dangerously deep so if that is the case, then you will find one of the Impala Support car at the crossings to guide you across as they will already have ‘tested the water’
On some of the tracks the track is actually the river and you will find yourself driving down small rocky falls before climbing back out onto the track.
Fantastic Mountain and Moorland Tracks
One of the wonderful things about the tracks in Wales, are that they are often long and have some of the most fantastic views in the United Kingdom. Our route uses rock and high moorland tracks that are bursting with wildlife. The Gilwern Hills are an important breeding ground for Red Grouse, an consequence of the hills being put to the conditions for Grouse is that many other birds also benefit, you will see Buntings, Larks and Curlews.
Lanes and Byways
All of the lanes and byways that we use are carefully researched and driven before the adventure by our support teams. We use the GLASS website TW2 which has all of the rights of way in the UK documented with their legal status as well as any relevant notes on condition and other considerations.
